1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Christopher Newman ("we", "us", "our", or "Coach") governing your use of cnewman.online (the "Service"), a platform providing personalised Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coaching through video analysis and feedback.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service.
2. Service Description
The Service provides personalised Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coaching where you can:
- Submit links to unlisted YouTube videos of your BJJ training or competition footage
- Include written notes describing what you're struggling with or seeking feedback on
- Receive detailed video analysis and coaching feedback from Christopher Newman
The coaching feedback is delivered as a video response where the Coach reviews your footage using screen recording and voice commentary, providing personalised guidance, technique corrections, and tactical advice.
3. Pricing and Credits
3.1 Payment Options
We offer various ways to access the coaching service, which may include pay-per-video options, credit packs, and subscription plans. Current pricing, credit allocations, and plan details are displayed on our website at the time of purchase.
3.2 How Credits Work
Where applicable, credits are consumed based on the length of your submitted video. The credit cost for your submission will be displayed before you confirm the submission. Credit consumption rates may vary based on video duration.
3.3 Credit Expiration
Credits may have expiration dates depending on how they were purchased:
- Credit packs: May expire after a specified period from the date of purchase (as stated at time of purchase)
- Monthly subscriptions: Typically include a monthly credit allocation. Unused credits may not roll over to subsequent months
- If you cancel a subscription, any remaining credits in your current billing period remain valid until the end of that billing period
Specific expiration terms applicable to your purchase will be clearly stated at the time of purchase and in your account.
3.4 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include applicable VAT where required.
4. User Accounts and Responsibilities
4.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach
4.2 Account Security
You must not share your account with others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of unauthorised sharing or abuse.
5. Submissions and Content
5.1 Your Responsibilities
When submitting video links and notes for coaching, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the rights to the video footage or have obtained all necessary permissions to share it for coaching purposes
- The video does not contain any illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Your video is uploaded to YouTube as "unlisted" to protect your privacy
- The information you provide is accurate and truthful
5.2 Video Requirements
- Videos must be accessible via YouTube as unlisted links
- There is no maximum video length; credits are consumed based on duration as outlined in Section 3.2
- Videos should primarily contain Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or related grappling content
5.3 Prohibited Content
You must not submit videos or content that:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Contain harassment, hate speech, or offensive material
- Are fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive
- Contain malware, viruses, or harmful code
We reserve the right to reject any submission that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate at our sole discretion.
6. Coaching Feedback and Turnaround
6.1 Service Delivery
We will make reasonable efforts to provide coaching feedback in a timely manner. However, we do not guarantee specific turnaround times. Delivery times may vary based on submission volume, video length, and complexity.
6.2 Feedback Format
Coaching feedback is delivered as an unlisted YouTube video containing the Coach's screen recording and voice commentary as they review your footage. You will receive a link to access this feedback video.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to the video footage you submit. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited licence to view, analyse, and create coaching feedback based on your submissions.
7.2 Feedback Videos
All coaching feedback videos created by Christopher Newman remain the intellectual property of Christopher Newman. However, you are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to:
- View the feedback videos indefinitely
- Download the feedback videos for personal use (subject to YouTube's terms of service)
- Use the feedback for your personal training and development
You may not share, distribute, or publicly post the feedback videos without obtaining prior written permission from us at [email protected].
7.3 Service Content
All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Christopher Newman or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.
8. Subscriptions and Cancellations
8.1 Automatic Renewal
Monthly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
8.2 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- You will retain access to your remaining credits until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial months or unused credits upon cancellation
- After cancellation, you will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
8.3 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Price changes for active subscriptions will take effect at the start of the next billing period following reasonable notice to you.
9. Refunds
Due to the personalised nature of our Service and the time invested in creating coaching feedback:
- Refunds are generally not available once coaching feedback has been delivered
- Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion
- If you experience technical issues or are dissatisfied with the Service, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss your concerns
- Unused credits from cancelled credit packs are generally not refundable but may be considered in exceptional circumstances
Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
10.1 Physical Activity Disclaimer
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a physical activity that carries inherent risks of injury. By using this Service, you acknowledge that:
- You participate in BJJ training at your own risk
- Our coaching feedback is for educational and informational purposes only
- You should consult with qualified medical professionals before beginning or modifying any physical training programme
- You should only practise techniques under proper supervision with qualified instructors
- We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur as a result of implementing coaching advice
10.2 Service "As Is"
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Coaching feedback will meet your specific expectations or lead to particular results
- Any errors or defects will be corrected
- The Service will be compatible with all devices or systems
10.3 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to secure your account credentials
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party platforms, particularly YouTube for video hosting and Stripe for payment processing. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for:
- Changes to third-party service availability or functionality
- Actions taken by third-party service providers
- Content or data loss resulting from third-party service interruptions
You are responsible for ensuring your YouTube videos remain accessible for coaching purposes and maintaining copies of any content you submit.
12. Account Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be revoked
- Unused credits will be forfeited (subject to any applicable consumer rights)
- Subscriptions will be cancelled but remain active until the end of the current billing period
12.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Submit prohibited or inappropriate content
- Abuse or harass our staff or other users
- Attempt to circumvent payment systems or credit allocations
In cases of serious violations, we may terminate your account without refund. For minor violations, we may provide warning or opportunity to remedy the breach.
13. Dispute Resolution

Our failure to enforce any right or provision in these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
